Dr. Judy Rochette DVM, FAVD, Diplomate
AVDC
Dr. Judy Rochette graduated from the Ontario Veterinary
College in 1990. On her graduation day she swore
she would never write another exam. That good intention
lasted about a year, which is when she began her
residency program. She is now a fellow of the Academy
of Veterinary Dentistry and a diplomate of the American
Veterinary Dental College. Dr. Rochette has provided
dental services with in British Columbia for twelve
years. Dr. Rochette lectures and is published internationally.
She is a reviewer for the Journal of Veterinary
Dentistry and the Journal of Feline Medicine and
Surgery. As a consultant for the Veterinary Information
Network she helps fellow veterinarians around the
world with their dental concerns. Dr. Rochette also
teaches dentistry locally with the Veterinary Technician
Program at Douglas College in Coquitlam. When she
is not working, Dr. Rochette is with her husband,
son and family cat. Her hobbies include skiing and
gardening.

Dr. Loïc Legendre DVM, FAVD, Diplomate
AVDC, EVDC
Dr. Loïc Legendre has been providing veterinary
dental care around the lower mainland since 1995.
After practising as a small animal veterinarian
for a few years, Dr. Legendre started to specialize.
He became a member, first of the American Veterinary
Dental College, then of the European Veterinary
Dental College. In addition to daily practice, he
enjoys teaching at international conferences. His
areas of interest are orthodontics and maxillofacial
reconstructive surgery.

Melissa - Office Manager/Receptionist
Melissa graduated from Douglas College with a certificate
in Veterinary Office and Animal Care. With a passion
for animals since a small child, it seemed the best
career choice for her. Originally Melissa comes
from a background in customer service and payroll.
She has been working in the Veterinary industry
since March 2007, starting at a small animal practice
in Richmond, then as a receptionist at Canada West
Veterinary Specialist where she met Dr.
Legendre. She has been working for WCVDS since its
opening in September of 2009. Melissa has a handsome
Pug cross named Alfie and a cat named Milo.

Brenda - Technician
Brenda graduated from the Thompson River University
in 2005 as a Registered Animal Health Technician.
Since then she has worked at Canada West Veterinary
Specialist (CWVS) in multiple services including;
Internal Medicine, Neurology, Emergency, the ICU
and wards and finally Dentistry with Dr. Legendre.
Brenda moved with Dr. Legendre to WCVDS in September
of 2009.
Brenda has 5 animals, including a Yorkie named Maddie
who has a gold crown courtesy of Dr. Legendre.

Roberto - Technician
Roberto is our newest staff member. After a career in computer programming he decided
to return to school and reinvent himself. He was taught dentistry by Dr. Rochette at
Douglas College and made such an impression that after graduation, and some early
experience at another progressive clinic, he was invited to join our team.

Bethany - Assistant
Bethany graduated from Granville Business College
in 2004, where she completed the Veterinary Office
Assistant Program. She then went to work at CWVS
in the Dentistry department with Dr. Legendre in
January of 2007.
Bethany is mother to Pickle the budgie, and enjoys
pet sitting, travelling and spending time with her
family.

Kohl – Clinic Cat
Kohl is our beautiful grey resident feline that
loves to be brushed. He was adopted from the SPCA
where he was found as a stray. His favourite things
to do are eat from cans, walk on keyboards, bop
the staff dogs when they get to close and sleep
under the dental table. Kohl is short for Cat King
Kohl.
